Mike Croft takes Voxxed on a deep dive into Payara (pun totally intentional) – a fully supported GlassFish alternative created to fill the gap left by Oracle’s withdrawal of support. We discuss how the trajectory of the software will be going forward, and to what extent Payara will deviate from the original implementation. We also discuss the Payara team’s perspective on recent criticisms of Java EE 7 in production, as well as the evolution of the platform alongside Spring. Filmed at Devoxx Poland 2015.
